I'm doing a modeling competition/pageant in a couple months and do not want to buy a new dress. My old prom dress from 2004 is a white a-line/ballgown styled dress. Strapless, beaded top, some beading along the skirt. (Can't find a photo.)...
Perhaps add accessories like a bright coloured sash, or a bow on the front or something. Other than that, you could put a different coloured fabric over the skirt or something?

The matron of honor was Susan Kibler of Mt. Jackson, sister of the bride. She wore a purple full-length gown and carried a purple and silver nosegay.
The bridesmaid was Emilie Webb of Mt. Jackson, niece of the bride. She wore a purple full-length gown with a white shawl and carried a purple and silver nosegay.
