I do a reverse commute that involves taking the metro from WFC to Courthouse in the evening rush hour. I can say that at least the announcements on the train from WFC were pretty clear--that there would be no service between Ballston and Rosslyn. I just got off in Ballston and walked home. At least it was a nice night!
Clarendon station was completely blocked off with police tape, and the entire Arlington County FD along with half of the police department seemed to be standing around, mostly directing traffic around all of the fire trucks and police cars.
But it didn't seem that WMATA had anyone stationed at the top of the escalators in Ballston. I also didn't notice any employees standing around the Virginia Square or Courthouse station entrances, and what I've read online suggests that it was the same sort of thing at Rosslyn.
Why on Earth is there no plan to put employees at the entrance, and have some big signs alerting everyone to the situation before they try to get into the station? Announcements over the intercom don't cut it, since the majority of people will never be able to understand those. Employees standing around waiting for people to ask them what's going on are also insufficient. How hard is this to figure out?

I got my dress (evening dress, for prom a few years ago) in the junior section. I just tried it on today, out of curiosity, and it still fits. Amazed, I looked at the size and it said, clearly, 3/4.
What’s up with this?
Because a dress is normally fitted around the torso and breasts, and jeans are fitted for your butt, waist, leg width and legth. By your guys’ answers, I’m starting to think that I was measured wrong and might be less than size 8 because I have almost no muscle and no curves. Or maybe like some of you said I just wear things more loosely, which could be true as I don’t like tight-fitting dresses.
I’m 5’8 and 145 pounds, and a size 8. So I’m thinking that if you’re a size 8 at a tiny 115 pounds, you must have fairly big hips, which I think is really sexy. I’m not fat, my stomach is really flat, just curvy (hips ‘n stuff) so no, I don’t think you’re even close to overweight or “chubby” and there’s no way you are “fat....
