Mettie Ileena Judd and Sean Jeffrey Taylor of Lubbock, Texas were married Sept. 17, 2011.

Sean’s grandparents are James H. “Bud” and Joann Smith of Lake Kiowa, Texas, Phyllis and Charlie Van Dyke of Van Alstyne, Texas, and Thomas and Betty Taylor of Lakeland, Fla. Mettie’s grandparents are Barbara and Leroy Judd of Stratford, Texas, and the late Oleen Judd, and Inalue James of Dalhart, Texas, formerly of Logan, and the late Newton James.

The outdoor wedding took place at the scenic Tenroc Ranch in Salado, Texas. Sean seated his parents, Michael and Teri Taylor of Salado, before taking his place by the officiant, James Judd, brother of the bride. Mettie was dressed in an ivory gown made of Torino taffeta with lace and bead accents. Her wedding attire was completed with her mother’s veil, a chapel length veil edged with lace. Mettie was escorted in by her parents, Delton and Mary Catherine Judd of Nara Visa, to the song, “Heavenly Day,” by Patty Griffin.
