Best place in Los Angeles, CA to preserve Wedding Dress?

My wife is looking into preserving her Wedding Dress and came across plenty of Bridal Gown cleaning and preservation sites that advertise it but we must ship it to another State (i.e. Texas).

How have you gotten your gown preserved?

I found a website that sends you a box, you put your dress in it and mail it back to them... they clean it and preserve it, then send it back to you... does this seem like a good idea?

You could also go to a local cleaners. Many of them will clean and preserve the dress for you, without having to ship it off. Personally, I'd be a bit nervous about shipping my gown off to a place I'd never been too. If anything, I'd see if I could mail my dress back to the
