Lyons-Pitzer
Abbie Rebecca Lyons and Patrick Scott Pitzer were married Saturday, Aug. 27, at University Christian Church in Fort Worth. The Rev. Daniel Terry officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Barrett Lyons of Amarillo. Grandparents of the bride are J.M. Mitchell, the late Nell Killough Mitchell and the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Frank Lyons.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gregory Pitzer of Breckenridge. Grandparents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Moore Pitzer and Ms. Polly Pitzer, all of Breckenridge, Mrs. E. Clark Ratliff of Fort Worth and the late Mr. E. Clark Ratliff.
Maid of honor was Mary Claiborne Saucier of Fort Worth. Bridal attendants were Adele Marie Pitzer, sister of the groom; Anna Marie Portman and Erin Hicks Cowden, all of Dallas; Molly Shelton Caviness, Betsy Babb Kelley and Kate Elizabeth Neeley, all of Amarillo; and Mary Braden Jarnagin and Mary Margaret Kinnan, both of Austin.

My husband and I picked our venue, the Lily Barn, first, and after that everything fell into place. We wanted the flowers to feel a little bit wild like Tennessee and the attire to feel a little bit vintage like the barn. My ’30s-inspired lace sheath by Lazaro hit just the right note of old world romance and elegance. I loved that I wore the same designer as my older sister had to her wedding. It felt like a tradition worth building.

Tony and I are busy resident physicians so for our wedding we envisioned something relaxing, personalized and unique. We very infrequently get vacation time so the thought of a destination wedding with our close family and friends in attendance was a logical choice. We got married on April 26, 2011 on the beach on the grounds of the fabulous Cabo Surf Hotel. Our wedding day far exceeded our wildest hopes and dreams and was a truly memorable event that we will never forget!
