A GRAND WEDDING: "One of the most charming nuptial events of the season of flowers and balmy sunshine was the marriage of Miss Lila M Huppert and Mr. Edwin J. Weidmann, two of Burlington's most estimable young people, solemnized in the presence of large concourse of relatives and friends at St. John's Catholic Church at 9 o'clock this morning. A nuptial mass was celebrated by Rev. P. Justin Zion, O.S.B., who also performed the ceremony utilizing a double ring service.

I bought my 2 flower girl dresses from john lewis yesterday. They are gorgeous and just what I was looking for. HOWEVER i'm confused by the sash on them! It is a removable one, held on by 2 small belt loops under the arms. It then threads behind a big bow on the back of the dress. But if i pull the belt tight and tie it, it looks funny because you can see the knot underneath the ornate bow. But the sash can't be left untied as it gradually works itself loose. I just cant work it out!

Sam and Luke’s wedding was the perfect mix of elegance and fun ~ it may have been in a grand, stately home but that didn’t stop the bride, groom and their guests letting loose! Sam looked absolutely stunning in her Jenny Packham gown ~ I can’t stop admiring the intricate pleating on the bodice, her gorgeous make up and chic red nails! While Luke looked the dapper gentleman in a light grey checked Paul Smith suit . Their wedding was captured beautifully by Nick Tucker . Each image has such a timeless quality and there are some amazing shots of Sam’s veil blowing in the wind!

We wanted our wedding to have the elegance of a wedding in an old stately home but with a party atmosphere. The colour scheme was silver and ivory and our wedding had a modern, romantic feel. We made a few special touches such as the place mats, the ceremony outside and the music we requested which ensured the whole day reflected our personalities and how we are as a couple. We didn’t want to take the day too seriously but wanted to enjoy ourselves with our family and friends.
