Lisa Woodruff of Huntington Beach, California, builds whole floats around costume concepts so her pugs, stepsisters Olive and Mochi, can take part in the Haute Dog Howl'oween Parade and Costume Contest in Long Beach, California. They've attended the event, held annually on the last Sunday in October, for seven years.

The pugs have been geisha girls, fish, sushi, surfers, flowers, "pupcakes" and amateur movers. "The costumes have to be comfortable and dog friendly," said Woodruff. "They can't be completely indestructible, but they are dogs so they (the costumes) have to be durable."

She shops on Craigslist and carves a lot of Styrofoam. The year Olive and Mochi were pupcakes, she started with inverted, pleated lampshades and painted them. There was a slight hitch, though: Both dogs couldn't fit in their pupcake wagon sitting down, so her husband had to carry one down the parade route.

Flower girl dress patterns , the first time I came across this sentence is when my sister was venturing out to sew a flower girl dress for her daughter for my upcoming wedding. As my sister is artistically inclined, I knew that the dress would turn out amazing. However, she had asked me my help in looking for ideas on websites which sold dressmaking patterns for flower girl dresses. After all, it was my wedding; I had to choose the right patterns to match with the others. Everything had to be perfect.

We had decided that the flower girl dress would be in lavender and white, to complement the bridesmaid dresses. We wanted a design which would suit the bubbly and adorable personality of my little niece. At the same time, the dress had to also keep her comfortable and of course, stylish.
