A fashion fairy tale
The designer recently celebrated her new line with the opening of the Blanka Matragi boutique in the Municipal House, which will remain there for one year, offering Matragi's newest collection. Inspired by František Kupka's painting Piano Keyboard/Lake, the collection is intended for those who prefer both simplicity and originality. But a new collection also means new technology. Designs Matragi had been painting on her dresses for years are now digitally reproduced and printed on the silk and viscose materials with an emphasis on lightness and durability.
On opening day Oct. 7, the one-room boutique was packed with crowds, with women impatiently waiting to purchase the first pieces. Within an hour, many had been sold.
"This collection grows on you," Matragi said. "You can start with a bag or a scarf and then come back for leggings and finally even get a dress. This is how I would imagine it. It's a pleasure to be continued.

Yet, what is it about each gown that draws the bride’s attention? Could it be the texture, fit, design, or sometimes do brides want a dress by a famous designer. Local Atlantans should know that they don’t have to go to New York or Paris to get a custom couture gown for her wedding.
Meet Efran Lebron Arroyo of E. Lebron . Efran recalls, “I played around with my mom’s sewing machine growing up,” which gave him early inspiration for developing fashion. When he grew older, he decided to go to college for Fashion School here in Atlanta “with the intentions of going into evening wear.” He states, “I never liked bridal going into this. I always thought it would be so boring, it’s always the same thing. Little did I know it was really not.”
After working at bridal stores in New York and Atlanta, Efran had the opportunity to meet some of the famous designers that the stores carried. “That exposure was the best thing that ever happened to me” as he sold his sketches to bridal gown designers. After two years, he decided to launch his own collection....

Although this gown is NEW, it may have been tried on in our showroom.
